For more than 60 years in Australia, State and Territory Wheelchair Sports organisations have run their sports with great expertise. 

In 2025 and beyond, the future of Wheelchair Sport is in Partnerships. WSA will help bring together the skills and knowledge of the Wheelchair Sports organisations, with the complementary strengths of State and National sports organisations who have Wheelchair Sport formats.

In this way, people with disabilities benefit from a system that is designed with the principle of self-direction coded into it via the Wheelchair Sports organisations. In addition, we can harness the great talent residing in the Australian State and Territory sports organisations with Wheelchair Sports formats.
